Strategic Aims of the Project:
- Facilitating women in identifying their needs and in developing their potential, through the provision of appropriate personal development and educational programmes and opportunities.
- Providing learning and training experiences that address the identified needs.
- Providing childcare facilities for attendees of the project's educational activities, for parents attending other Community Education Programmes and for families in the community who have been identified as in need of this support.
- Promoting equality and progression of all women regardless of colour, creed or culture.
- Working closely with state agencies and making effective use of allocated resources.
- Delivering all our services with a professional and client centred approach, respectful of the adult status of our employees and trainees.
- Assessing and reviewing our projects on an on-going basis.
Key Areas of Work:
- Managing the day to day activities of the project and developing and diversifying these to reflect the needs of our target group and the wider community.
- Networking at local and national level with the relevant organisations and actively input so as to influence policy which impacts on our target group.
- Continuing to provide educational and training opportunities that address the needs of our target group.
- Continuing to provide a comprehensive, quality, affordable childcare facility that can cater for 110 children at any one time, from the age of 12 weeks to 12 years.
- Providing employment opportunities for women that are flexible and family friendly.
