Website Access Keys

Access keys are keyboard shortcuts, and help users who have difficulty using pointing devices such as a mouse.

We've chosen numeric access keys to minimize interference with browser shortcuts. Below is a description of the access keys that we have used on this site.

  1. Home page.
  2. More about Women's Community Projects.
  3. Adult training and education.
  4. Homecare services.
  5. Counselling service.
  6. Money advice by MABS.
  7. Employment opportunities.
  8. Access key information.

How to Use the Access Keys:

PC

  • IE — press the "ALT" key + access key and then press the "ENTER" key to active the action.
  • Firefox 2.0 — "ALT" + "SHIFT" and access key.
  • Firefox 3.0 — "ALT" + "SHIFT" + access key (sometimes you need to hit "ENTER" and other times you don’t).
  • Opera — the user presses "SHIFT" + "ESC" followed by the access key (without "ALT"). Doing this will display the list of access keys over the current web page.

  • Firefox 3.0 — "CTRL" + access key and an "ENTER" is required.
