Community Employment Project
This project operates on a yearly contract with FAS. There is one supervisor and 18 participant on the scheme.
The supervisor reports to the Sponsoring Group who is responsible for the management and the administration of the project.
The Sponsoring Group provides a means to engage long-term unemployed people to carry out useful work/service in a temporary employment capacity, providing 39 hours work per participant per fortnight or 19 1/2 hours per participants working on a weekly basis.

Recruitment of Participants
The Sponsor recruits participants in conjunction with FAS under both Part-time Job Option and Part-time Integration Option.
Part-time Job Option
This offers participants over 35 years of age and in receipt of Social Welfare for more than 3 years with an annual contract, which may be renewed for up to 3 years subject to availability of places.
Part-time Integration Option
This offers participants over 25 years of age and in receipt of Social Welfare for 12 months part-time work and training for one year.
The primary objective is to help participants develop skills and use their work experience to find full-time employment after Community Employment.
The Participants
All participants working on the project are provided with quality work experience and skills that are transferable to the open labour market.

There is a training/development budget for each participant.
